First Term

The first term of the Residents’ Committee ended in April 2024. During the six-month term, monthly committee meetings were held, supported by the project management and the Neukölln district office. In these meetings, the representatives of the five accommodations regularly came together to discuss the latest developments in their facilities. Feedback from the residents during the office hours of the committee speakers was discussed, and concerns were directly forwarded to the district administration.

In addition to the regular committee meetings, various workshops and informational events were organized. A special highlight was the visit of representatives from the Zaki e.V. association, who introduced the concept of men’s cafés in accommodations. In February 2024, the workshops “Social Participation” and “Political Participation” took place, during which we also visited the District Assembly at Neukölln Town Hall. An unforgettable highlight of the term was the joint visit to the Intercultural Spring Festival at the communal accommodation in Karl-Marx-Straße.
